Black gram can be made and eaten in many ways, you can boil it and eat it like a salad by adding onion, tomato, spices, lemon, you can eat it sprouted, you can make it gravy and eat it with rice or roti. You can make it dry and eat it with puri. After boiling black gram, we can drink its water like soup.

Protein, vitamins, and fiber are found in abundance in black grams, so eating black grams not only gives us good taste but also gives a lot of benefits to our body and our health.

In many states of India, black gram is made every Saturday, because people associate black gram with Shani Dev (deity of the Hindu Religion) and use black gram every Saturday. Navratri festival is celebrated in many states in India, in which Prasad of dried black gram, puri and halwa is made for offering to Goddess Bhagwati (Goddess of the Hindu Religion) on Ashtami or Navami day and to give to little girls, so let's get dry today. Ingredients required to make dried black gram

Black gram - 1 cup
Oil
Cumin - half teaspoon
Ginger
Green chilly
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Amchur powder – 1 tsp
Red chili powder
Kashmiri Red Chili
Chana Masala
Garam Masala
Salt
Coriander leaves chopped

First, we will take black gram in a utensil and wash it thoroughly with clean water 1 to 2 times, after that pour clean water in the utensil and soak it in black gram for at least 12 to 14 hours. If you cannot keep black gram soaked for so long, then you must make black gram by soaking it in hot water for at least 1 to 2 hours.

When the time is over, we will boil the gram, for this we will take a cooker, and put black gram in it, and add some clean drinking water. If you want to drink black gram soup, then increase the amount of water, and add some salt as per taste. Put water in the cooker, close the lid of the cooker and put it on the gas and light the gas.

Steam will start forming in the cooker, and when the cooker whistles, reduce the flame of the gas, and let the gas burn for another 3-5 minutes, this will cook your black gram completely. After 3-5 minutes, turn off the gas, and take the cooker off the gas and keep it down.

When the steam of the cooker is over, open its lid, and if you had put more water for the soup, then take out your soup separately from the cooker, and take out the black gram separately.

Now we roast black gram, for this take a pan, and put it on the gas and light the gas. After this, when the pan becomes slightly hot, add oil to it and let the oil heat up.

When your oil becomes hot, put some cumin seeds in it, and roast it, when the cumin seeds are fried a little, then you put the rest of your spices in it, like ginger, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, mango powder, green chili, salt as per taste, green chilies, chana masala etc. If you want, you can also add a little tomato, this will make the taste of black grams even better.

Now mix all these spices well, and then put your boiled gram in it and roast it with a spoon for 6-8 minutes. Note that all the water that was in the gram should be gone, till then you have to roast it. Now your dried black gram is ready, put it in a nice bowl, garnish it with green coriander and serve it to eat.
