First, we will take gram dal in a vessel, and we will wash it well. After that, take out the dirty water from it and add good water, and keep it soaked for 1 hour.

Now take out the dal from the water after 1 hour. After that put one bowl of dal and three bowls of water in a cooker, put it on the gas, light the gas, and boil your lentils.

Till the time our dal is boiling, we prepare the tadka for the dal. Take a separate pan for tempering, put the pan on the gas and light the gas. After that put some oil in it, when the oil becomes hot, put some cumin seeds in it and roast the cumin seeds.

Roast the cumin till it becomes golden and when the cumin turns golden then add finely chopped onions and add finely chopped tomatoes and mix it well and roast it further. Then cook it on low flame for about 5 minutes.

After this, we have to add the tomatoes which we have grinded in the mixer. Then it has to be roasted and at the same time green chilies and coriander have to be added in the tempering, it has to be roasted. Now our tadka is ready.
Now our dal is boiled, then we put the tempering prepared for dal in the cooker and mix this tempering well in our boiled dal. Mix the Channa dal with tadka well with a ladle.

Our gram dal is ready, but a special tadka is yet to be added to it, due to which the taste of dal will change, and the eater will keep licking his fingers.

For this, we will take a spoonful of desi ghee, and keep that spoon on the gas, burn the gas on a low flame and heat the desi ghee and as soon as the desi ghee becomes hot, we will pour it over our prepared dal.
