Chatakedar Chilli Paneer Punjabi Style (Chilli Paneer Recipe)

Today I am teaching you how to make Chatakedar Chilli Paneer in Punjabi style. I am teaching this step by step and photo which will help you a lot to make it.

How to make Chilli Paneer:

This recipe is very famous in India, those people who do not eat non-veg, they eat paneer very happily. Paneer (Cheese) is a very good source of calcium; it makes bones and teeth strong.

Many people are very fond of cooking, but they do not know how to cook it. One must have knowledge of the right method, right ingredients, and spices only then you can cook good food. So today I will teach you how to make this dish step by step, so let us learn how to make Chilli Paneer.

What are the ingredients in Chilli Paneer Recipe:

Cheese - 500 grams
Onion chopped - 2
Tomato - 3
Green chili - 5
Capsicum chopped - 2
Green onion 3
Ginger garlic paste - 2 spoons
Cornflour three spoons
Chili sauce one spoon
Tomato sauce two spoons
Soy sauce two spoons
Black pepper powder half teaspoon
Oil 100 grams
Salt to taste
Turmeric half teaspoon
Garam masala one spoon
Kasoori methi one spoon
Coriander leaves to garnish
Cream to garnish

Cooking Instructions:

First, put three spoons of corn flour in a bowl. Then put some red chili in that bowl and add some salt as per your taste.

Put 2 spoons of ginger garlic paste in that bowl and mix. After this, add some water to it and make its solution, keep in mind that this solution should neither be thin nor too thick.

After this, cut the 500 grams of paneer into small squares equal to about 2 inches.

Now put these paneer pieces in the batter that we prepared earlier. And wrap all the paneer pieces well with that solution.

Keep in mind that the batter should cover all the paneer pieces well, otherwise the paneer will not taste good. After this cover the paneer with this solution and keep it in a different place for 2 hours, due to this the whole solution will go inside the paneer pieces and the paneer will be tasty and not discolored.

After this, wash the vegetables we had taken like 2 onions, 2 capsicum, 2 tomatoes, and chop them finely.

After this take a non-stick pan and put the pan on it after lighting the gas. Put 2 to 3 teaspoons of oil in this pan and heat it.

When the oil becomes hot, take out the paneer pieces that we had mixed in the batter and put them in this pan.

After that start frying the paneer pieces, when the paneer starts frying you will see that its color will turn golden brown. When the paneer turns golden brown, take it out of the pan.

After this, take the same pan again and the oil that was left in it, we will now use it for roasting the vegetables. Now put some garlic ginger paste in that pan, then add chopped onion, chopped capsicum, chopped green chili, some red chili as per taste, salt as per taste, some garam masala, some turmeric, soya sauce, tomato sauce, green chilli sauce and fry it for a while.

Keep in mind that all these vegetables must be roasted well, otherwise they will taste raw, which will not be pleasant.

When all the vegetables are fried well, add some fenugreek leaves and green onions to it and stir for a while, and then turn off the gas and add the fried paneer pieces and mix well.

Now your hot Chilli Paneer is ready, put it in a vessel and garnish with green coriander and cream and serve hot.

Important Tips

Paneer batter should not be thin. After pouring the paneer in the solution, keep it for a while to set, it will be beneficial that the paneer gets marinated properly and becomes good.


Garnish Chilli Paneer with coriander and cream. Garnishing is an important part of the recipe. This makes the recipe look beautiful. So, we also feel like eating.
